Catalyst 2030 supports the launch of the first Impact Business Accelerator program in Ukraine at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

Davos, Switzerland (19 January 2023) – Impact Force yesterday hosted a conversation with global and Ukrainian private and public sector leaders on the key role of the social innovation movement in rebuilding Ukraine at the Palantir Pavilion, in Davos, where they launched the first impact business accelerator program for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

The continued war in Ukraine undeniably increased the need in social services to address physical and mental health challenges, access to energy and jobs. In this context, social innovators and impact businesses could become vital partners in mitigating the direct crises effects and present pathways to rebuilding a more inclusive and resilient society.

Key speakers and contributors at the event included: Francois Bonnici, Director of the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship and Head of Social Innovation at the World Economic Forum, Valeriya Ionan, Deputy Minister for EU Integration, Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Nina Levchuk, Сo-Founder of Impact Force, Mark Horoszowski, Co-Founder and CEO at MovingWorlds.org, Daniel Di Giusto, Co-Founder and Executive Director at Tech To The Rescue, Rawan Odeh, Partnerships Manager for Digital Lift by monday.com, Jeroo Billimoria, Founder of One Family Foundation, Chairperson of Catalyst 2030, and Francis Malige, Managing Director, Financial Institutions for the EBRD.

Officially opening the event, Nina Levchuk said, “This is a very special event during the Annual Meeting Week that will discuss practical pathways to rebuilding Ukraine and toward EU integration by putting local actors, local innovators and impact businesses at the heart of Ukraine recovery,” highlighting the collaborative work required to rebuild Ukraine economy and society.

Jeroo Billimoria shared highlights of the recent activities of the Ukrainian chapter of Catalyst 2030, and why the entrepreneurs and innovators who are working on bringing the recovery actions to life require support from both public and private sectors to succeed.

The Impact Business Accelerator Programme is designed with the goal of building a social enterprise movement in Ukraine. The programme will identify, build and connect industry-diverse Ukrainian social entrepreneurs/businesses with impact that could benefit from the acceleration and community building programmes to maintain & possibly scale their operations and impact The pilot is supported through the coalition of partners, members of the Global Alliance for Social Entrepreneurship – the largest multi-stakeholder coalition in the social innovation sector hosted by an international organization.
