Edelman’s Social Impact & Sustainability team has an exciting opportunity for an assistant account executive. This position will play a key role on our Social Impact & Sustainability team, focusing on communications strategy, planning, advisory services, stakeholder engagement, outreach and new business development, with clients spanning sectors such as wellness, financial services and consumer goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously working in close collaboration with colleagues and using organizational skills
  • Provide client service administration support; attend meetings, handle scheduling, logistics, notes and follow up actions
  • Manage workload to meet deadlines and keep senior project leaders apprised of status
  • Identify and work with media; research, compile and analyze client media coverage
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of sustainability and social impact trends and share knowledge with others
  • Produce high-quality internal and external communications content
  • Contribute to the creation of communications plans that meet client objectives
  • Support research and analysis to provide insight into business opportunities and sustainable impact
  • Build relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Participate in new business efforts including research, proposal and pitch preparation
  • Commit to continuous learning through Edelman Learning Institute and other training opportunities
  • Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 0-6 months’ internship experience in Communications and/or related fields
  • She/he/they must have a strong work ethic and solid time management skills to balance her/his/their workload across account teams. A successful assistant account executive on this team will be collaborative, curious, knowledgeable about social impact and sustainability topics, and able to deliver quality work to deadline.
  • An assistant account executive must have strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills along with exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach. The assistant account executive should have equivalent experience, including communications, social impact or sustainability course work or other demonstrated experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office, excellent organization skills, and the ability to adapt to change.

$40,000 – $50,000 a year

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
