About this Role

As an Associate, Investments at Veris Wealth Partners, you will play a vital role in the firm’s investment process. This includes sourcing, analyzing, and conducting due diligence on top-tier portfolio managers and funds. You will work closely with the Investments Team to shape the firm’s strategies and present key insights, thereby influencing critical decision-making processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to delve deep into thematic investing, impact measurement and management, and state-of-the-art financial analysis. You will gain comprehensive hands-on experience that will strengthen your expertise and contribute to a forward-thinking investment landscape focused on sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of asset classes, sectors, and investment themes.
  • Analyze PPMs, financial statements, and returns to support decision-making.
  • Support the Investments team in identifying, evaluating, and managing a pipeline of investment opportunities.
  • Assist in reviewing primary funds, approved managers, and industry trends.
  • Perform thematic research to assess risks, opportunities, and performance.
  • Draft investment memos and present findings to the Investment Committee for approval.
  • Track fund manager performance and benchmark results.
  • Analyze EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) and impact metrics.
  • Assist in preparing impact reports, disclosures, and research materials.
  • Maintain investment records and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Support internal committees with meeting coordination and reporting.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by the Investments Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; MBA, CFA, CIMA, or CAIA preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an associate-level role or relevant investment management field.
  • Strong commitment to impact investing and sustainable business practices.
  • Experience with Morningstar Direct, FactSet, Envestnet, and/or Salesforce preferred.
  • Exposure to impact investing products and solutions preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of public equities, fixed income, private equity, venture capital, real assets, and private debt.
  • Understanding of ESG metrics and impact investing applications.
  • Analytical mindset with qualitative and quantitative research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with financial modeling skills preferred.
  • Strong business writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
