Job Overview

As the Customer Success Lead at Proof, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients achieve their sustainability, ESG, and financial goals through our platform. You will be responsible for managing client relationships, delivering high-quality client deliverables, driving product enhancements, and contributing to the overall growth of the company. This position requires a combination of client management skills, technical aptitude, and a mission-driven and adaptable mindset. ESG and sustainability background and knowledge is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management:

  • Oversee client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and success.
  • Manage client timelines and deliverables, including conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.

High-Quality Client Deliverables:

  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality ESG surveys, sustainability reports, and other assets for companies and their stakeholders.
  • Validate and QA data to maintain accuracy and integrity in all client deliverables.

Upselling and Product Enhancement:

  • Identify client pain points through attentive listening and provide feedback to the product team.
  • Coordinate with the product team on new feature timelines and communicate updates to clients.
  • Offer new add-on features to upsell clients and enhance their experience.

Team Management:

  • Support and mentor employees or direct reports to create a high-functioning and successful team.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Sales Mindset:

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to narrow and refine target markets.
  • Drive higher ARR sales through cross-team coordination and strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing and sales assets based on industry knowledge and client feedback.

Technical Support and Process Improvement:

  • Build out a scaled technical support function to accommodate a growing user base.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance client experience.

Expert Sustainability Advisory:

  • Provide expert sustainability advisory and consulting support for larger Enterprise clients.
  • Assist with regulatory compliance, framework alignment, report development, materiality assessments, and other add-on services.

Community Engagement:

  • Support content creation and distribution in the Proof Sustainability Community to facilitate user knowledge acquisition.
  • Engage with users and contribute to the community’s growth and success.

Partnership Development:

  • Forge new partnerships with channels to gain scaled access to company clients and new users.
  • Expand Proof’s reach and impact through strategic partnership initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in client management, ideally in ESG and sustainability, technology startups, or related fields.
  • Strong client management skills with experience in managing timelines and adapting to change needs.
  • Technical interest and aptitude, with the ability to understand and explain complex data and evaluation concepts.
  • Experience in process improvement and automation.
  • Excellent data management and analysis skills with close attention to detail.
  • Proven time and project management abilities.
  • Mission-driven career ambition with a hunger for success in a start-up environment.
  • Adaptability to change, coachability, and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Experience in sales, with a focus on upselling and driving revenue growth.
  • Ability to contribute to marketing and sales strategies.
  • Strong team management and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of ESG and sustainability principles and practices is a plus.
