As the Director of Impact, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our mission. Here’s how you’ll make a difference:

• Shape the Future: Develop and implement innovative processes to foster a vibrant, resilient, and financially sound workplace for our talented team.
• Leadership Role: Be a key member of our Management Team, working alongside the Managing Director and Director of Research & Development to oversee our people, projects, and programmes.
• Drive Change: Lead our monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems to track our impact and share insights across our organisation and the wider Circle Economy network.
• Champion Our Cause: Amplify Circle Economy’s impact through proactive communication, representing us at external events, and seizing speaking opportunities to enhance our public profile.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of Circle Economy Foundation, driving the development and implementation of key processes that fortify our financial health.
• Nurture Talent: Foster a supportive and inclusive culture where our team can thrive. Lead our talent development initiatives, create a trusting team environment, and provide mentorship and support to your team members.
• Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the Head of People & Culture to ensure our HR practices are top-notch and effectively support our team and organisational goals.

Your profile

• Solid analytical skills and disposition to make evidence-based decisions.
• Well organised, results-driven, enjoy creating plans, executing on those plans and holding others accountable for sticking to the plan, but are flexible to adjust when necessary; hold your employees accountable and make sure the team can deliver high quality and on deadline.
• Self-starter (proactive and independent), knows how to prioritise different assignments and tasks to meet deadlines
• Proven experience in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, networking, partnership, and relationship management at a senior level and in different geographies and industries
• Excellent communicator internally and externally, being straightforward, decisive and assertive
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and Dutch is a plus)

• Relevant experience and track record (15+ years) in building high-performance teams
• Impact drivenKnowledge of the circular economy and sustainability
• Master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g. business management).

What we offer you
For this role, we are offering an initial 1-year contract for 32 to 40 hours per week. We offer an awesome challenge for a passionate person who loves to learn continuously and take up responsibilities in a vibrant and talented team.
