ABOUT CPI

CPI is an analysis and advisory organization with deep expertise in finance and policy. Our mission is to help governments, businesses, and financial institutions drive economic growth while addressing climate change. CPI has six offices around the world in Brazil, India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, and the United States (San Francisco and Washington D.C).

CPI is known as a leader in tracking sustainable investment trends, identifying innovative business models, and supporting the solutions that can drive the transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient, inclusive economy. We are unique in our focus on finance, our ability to get the right people to the table, and our analytical rigor.

ABOUT THE CC FACILITY

The Catalytic Climate Finance Facility (CC Facility) accelerates the implementation of high-impact, ready-to-scale financial structures through a suite of services that include grant funding, technical support, and a market-building Learning Hub. The CC Facility fills a market gap and reduces market fragmentation to mobilize private capital for climate action in developing economies. The CC Facility was launched in May 2023 and is a partnership between CPI and Convergence, who are combining their expertise and track-record to turn innovative financial vehicles into scalable solutions, to increase the available investable pipeline and grow the climate finance market.

The Learning Hub is a key component of the CC Facility value offering. The main purpose of the Learning Hub is to generate new evidence and highlight existing evidence on best practices that can contribute to accelerate the implementation of financial vehicles to mobilize private capital and achieve climate objectives and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at scale. The core focus is to develop an accessible compendium of knowledge products for both capital receivers and capital providers, as well as best practices that can help mainstream and scale climate finance. The overall objective of the Learning Hub is to help incentivize and accelerate climate action for its two primary audiences: (1) CC Facility and (2) the larger climate finance ecosystem. The Learning Hub will help build the field and consolidate the market, creating synergies and increasing efficiencies in the ecosystem.

ABOUT THE ROLE

CPI is seeking a talented and motivated individual with relevant expertise to support the CC Facility and Learning Hub’s work with innovative climate finance vehicles that can mobilize private capital. The Senior Analyst will contribute to producing knowledge products with the objective of sharing learnings related to developing and investing in financial vehicles that deliver climate action. This will be done primarily through desk research and interviews with relevant stakeholders and actors, as well as collating analysis from the experiences of other CPI innovative finance programs such as the Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (the Lab). Such knowledge products include written pieces, frameworks, and tools, as well as workshops, convenings, and learning sessions, for which the Senior Analyst will also be expected to assist the development and organization.

The Senior Analyst will form an integral part of the CPI Climate Finance team and report to the CC Facility Lead, with a dotted line to the Innovative Finance Knowledge Manager.
