Role summary

The Strategist, Web & Project Management role is focused on supporting web-based projects of all types at Pyramid, from website redesigns projects to ongoing website maintenance and support.

Strategists at Pyramid are skillful listeners, synthesizers, and doers—managing teams, work flows, resources and client relationships to make the best, highest impact work possible. They also serve in a project management role, holding primary responsibility for all internal and external team and client coordination, as well as effective management of project budgets, deadlines, and details, ensuring projects are driven forward in a timely and efficient manner.

This role will be a key member of our digital team, shepherding website projects from discovery to launch and managing emergent support requests. In addition, the ideal candidate will bring a spirit of curiosity and be able to nimbly jump into project work, supporting at both a strategic and tactical level.

Responsibilities will primarily include:

  • Working closely with clients and internal teams to support website redesign projects, including:
    • Perform content audits, draft site structures and content strategies
    • Draft, edit and maintain web content
    • Build out new pages/upload content to websites
    • Coordinate with designers and developers
    • Manage client communications and project timelines
  •  Support clients with emergent web requests, including maintaining content, posting new pages, adding metadata, and assessing Google Analytics.
  • Provide project management support to web projects, including:
    • Supporting internal team coordination
    • Coordinating client communications
    • Managing monthly client invoicing
    • Developing and managing project timelines and budgets, including updating projections and providing regular team updates.
    • Tracking capacity and resourcing across web team projects.

Some of the skills and experience that would help you succeed in this role include:

  • 2-4 years experience working in project management, content strategy, website management, and/or digital communications
  • Experience organizing and tracking multiple deadlines, budgets, and project details and communicating effectively in a timely manner with internal staff, clients, vendors, etc.
  • An understanding of web usability, UX and accessibility best practices
  • Experience writing for the web
  • Experience making web updates in major CMSs – WordPress, Drupal, SquareSpace etc.
  • An enjoyment of digging into the details, while able to see a larger picture
  • Experience balancing the needs of multiple projects simultaneously across different internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience working with non-profit organizations, particularly in arts & culture, climate & environment, education, health justice, Indian country, philanthropy or social justice.
  • Experience presenting work or with public speaking

  • Experience working in agencies
  • Experience with SEO and Google Analytics
