About this Role

The 2025 Summer Associate Program at Samvid Ventures offers a unique opportunity for MBA students to engage in critical work with a focus on social enterprise. Based in the New York office, the program is designed to support early-stage enterprises that enhance economic mobility in low- and moderate-income communities. Associates will participate in diverse activities, including market and network research, due diligence analysis, and synthesizing findings to present to internal teams. A significant aspect of the role involves evaluating startup business models and founders to aid in developing the 2025 accelerator program. Successful candidates will have the chance to craft investment theses for economic mobility sub-sectors and explore non-dilutive grant opportunities for startups. This role is ideal for those looking to align their professional growth with impactful community-oriented endeavors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and network research to inform program development.
  • Perform due diligence on potential startup investments.
  • Synthesize data and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate startup business models for scalability and community impact.
  • Analyze ecosystem gaps for future venture focus.
  • Explore funding sources, including non-dilutive grants.
  • Develop an investment thesis related to economic mobility.

Requirements

  • Current MBA student.
  • Experience in evaluating early-stage investment opportunities.
  • Ability to identify and analyze information effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and adept at navigating ambiguity.
  • Proven collaborative skills across organizational levels.
  • Prior consulting, investment, and/or research experience is advantageous.
