Doron Goldstein is a correspondent for Impact Entrepreneur Magazine, where he writes about impact investing, alternative capital structures, and related legal issues. As an impact angel investor and partner and US Head of the Data Innovation, Privacy & Cybersecurity practice at Withersworldwide, Doron combines legal experience with a passion for addressing the challenges of building and investing in sustainable, impactful businesses.

Recognized as a “Client Service All-Star” by BTI and a “Cybersecurity Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal, Doron advises clients ranging from startups to global corporations on complex matters involving information technology, privacy, and cybersecurity. A former software developer and network administrator, he was among the first lawyers in the U.S. certified as a Privacy Law Specialist by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), accredited by the American Bar Association. This rare combination of technical understanding and legal acumen allows Doron to provide clients with practical, informed, and strategic guidance.

Doron’s work spans a variety of industries, including innovative technologies and AI, hospitality, fashion and retail, consumer products, and financial services. He collaborates with his clients’ legal and technology teams on matters such as data protection compliance programs, data management, cloud and SaaS issues, and outsourcing arrangements. In the unfortunate event of a security incident or data breach, Doron draws on extensive experience working with security specialists and forensic experts to address breaches, mitigate risks, work with law enforcement and manage legal and regulatory obligations and investigations.

As the former managing partner of an internet advertising company, Doron’s unique insights allow him to provide invaluable advice and insight to clients on their advertising, marketing and promotions programs to make sure they not only comply with the law, but are also effective and compelling. He is also an adjunct professor of law at New York Law School where he teaches Fashion Law and Technology, examining the intersection between the law and emerging technologies in the fashion industry.
