About this Role

The Associate Director of Impact Investments will be an integral part of the Workforce and Education Investments team at Social Finance. This team focuses on generating economic mobility by supporting and financing reskilling and upskilling initiatives that lead to quality employment opportunities. Key functions of the role include providing financial support to learners for high-quality training access, offering working capital for scaling training providers, and structuring incentives for employers to invest in workforce skill development. The position involves collaboration with diverse partners such as training providers, employers, funders, and service providers. As a leader in the investment portfolio management team, the Associate Director will oversee multiple deals, ensuring impactful investing strategies are employed effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support business development efforts with potential partners and prepare presentations.
  • Identify and structure new funds with contextual fund formations.
  • Conduct fund-level analysis to guide investment strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues for strategy and process enhancements.
  • Conduct due diligence and structure investment terms.
  • Communicate investment opportunities to the Investment Committee.
  • Execute and manage investment operations.
  • Develop work plans and manage program lifecycles.
  • Conduct financial analysis and perform research.
  • Manage relationships with external partners.

 

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full-time professional experience, with 3+ years in investment structuring.
  • Strong project and team management skills.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling and analysis skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in workforce, education, and economic mobility issues.
