Village Capital is looking for a visionary and dynamic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to build on a foundation of excellence while shaping the future of our organization in an ever-changing entrepreneur funding ecosystem.
The CEO will work with the Board and lead a powerful team on a mission to drive meaningful change. You will be at the helm of our strategy, culture, and growth, empowering the organization to create high-impact programs that directly support entrepreneurs and other key beneficiaries. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Growth
● Ensue the delivery of transformative, high-quality initiatives that empower entrepreneurs and
positively impact our communities in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.
● Develop and calibrate organizational strategy, driving successful implementation at all levels.
● Build and nurture a high-performing senior leadership team, setting a clear direction for the
organization’s continued impact and success.
● Navigate the complexities of an evolving sector, equipping Village Capital to remain adaptive and
resilient.
● Oversee daily operations, ensuring long-term success and sustainability, while constantly fostering an
inclusive and empowering organizational culture.
● Champion collaboration and innovation between departments, recognizing contributions that
advance our mission.
● Lead staff recruitment, professional development, performance management, and compensation
processes, creating an environment where talent thrives.
Fundraising & Resource Development
● Lead fundraising efforts in collaboration with key members of the leadership and partnerships teams,
utilizing the Board as a key asset to secure vital resources.
● Cultivate diverse funding streams, from corporate partners to individual philanthropists and
foundations, ensuring financial stability and sustained growth.
● Proactively identify emerging trends and funding opportunities, positioning Village Capital to adapt to
shifting market conditions while maintaining long-term sustainability.
● Leverage strategic partnerships and alliances to diversify revenue sources, ensuring the organization’s
resilience amidst changing economic, social, and political climates.
External Relations & Communications
● Serve as a passionate and influential ambassador for Village Capital, representing the organization at
key events, conferences, media opportunities, and through digital communications.
● Elevate the visibility and credibility of Village Capital, promoting our mission, programs, and partners
to inspire action and engagement.
● Build meaningful relationships with prospects, peer organizations, media outlets and other key
ecosystem stakeholders to further our reach and impact.
● Strengthen bonds with Village Capital’s exceptional alumni network.
Board Governance & Leadership
● Foster a strong, collaborative relationship with the Board, ensuring ongoing communication and
engagement.
● Provide Board members with the critical information needed for informed, timely decision-making.
● Work closely with the Board Chair to set strategic agendas and ensure regular, productive Board
meetings.
● Cultivate consensus, offer strategic support, and ensure Board decisions are implemented seamlessly
throughout the organization.
Financial Oversight & Sustainability
● Oversee Village Capital’s financial health, including the development of a sustainable annual budget
and management of resources to support program growth.
● Ensure compliance with all national, state, and federal regulations, alongside standard accounting
practices, upholding the highest fiscal integrity.
● Maximize financial resources and ensure optimal financial positioning to support the organization’s
long-term goals and sustainability.
