Mitch Tyson

Mitch Tyson is an experienced CEO, board member, entrepreneur, lecturer, and mentor who has advised and supported numerous entrepreneurs over the last ten years. Mitch dedicates much of his time and energy towards building and diversifying the regional clean energy and innovation ecosystem while serving on a number of corporate, industry, government, academic, and non-profit boards.

Mitch is a co-founder of the Northeast Clean Energy Council, a partner in the Clean Energy Venture Group (angel investing), and board member of Greentown Labs (incubator) and the Acadia Center (policy research and advocacy). Mitch was an adjunct professor, teaching corporate sustainability, at the International Business School at Brandeis University and is currently an advisor to the Asper Center on Global Entrepreneurship. Mitch is also chair of Innovation Studio (an organization that builds and connects the innovation community) and served on the executive committee of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and co-chaired the Massachusetts Advanced Manufacturing Collaborative.

Earlier he was science advisor and legislative assistant for energy and science policy to US Senator Paul Tsongas. Mitch is a graduate of MIT with a BS in Physics, MS in Nuclear Eng., and MS in Political Science.
