Following a 20-year multi-domain corporate experience (Emerson, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity, dunnhumby), Ashish Mehta’s current avatar is that of an Impact and climate finance advisor, entrepreneur, and evangelist. He founded Second Nature — a clean-tech and impact advisory; and is the co-founder of MinusCO2 — a clean-tech developer that leverages retail impact investment.

Ashish believes in the ethos of sustainable development: to simultaneously achieve the goals of economic, social, and environmental justice, via the tenets of global collaboration, co-creation, and natural values. He is passionate about the evolving Impact Finance eco-system, and is of the view that people with his background need to be down in the trenches to accelerate the deployment of capital and resources by investors, organizations, and social enterprises towards transformative and measurable People, Planet, and Profit (3P) Impact.

Academically trained as an engineer, Ashish has an M.S. in Applied Systems from the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, US. As a representative global citizen, he has lived in multiple countries and cities, and currently calls Mumbai home. He is an active proponent of building thought leadership and awareness, among other activities: he conducts an Impact Investment Primer (IIP) in partnership with FES (Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung); is a fellow of Aspire Circle (India’s premier social leadership program); is a member of the Forum for Responsible Living; is active with the India Circular Economy group; and has run a one-of-a-kind solar project finance training for SMEs.

Ashish has had multiple speaking engagements, has authored 25+ articles in periodicals / books / journals / conference proceedings, and has 8+ US patents.
