Megan Holcomb is a climate scientist and ecosystem engineer with over 15 years of experience in the sectors of risk modeling and scenario planning, public policy, and capacity building startups. As the Chief Operating Officer at LabStart, Megan is dedicated to strategic partnerships that accelerate the development and deployment of climate solutions. Her work emphasizes high-conflict consensus building, facilitating community-led change, and executive-level empowerment for accelerated adaptation. Megan has assisted hundreds of communities, rural and urban, adapt to the increasing pressures of natural hazards such as drought, flood, and wildfire. Megan served as the Senior Drought Specialist for the State of Colorado, was appointed by Governor Polis to Colorado's first Environmental Justice Advisory Board, and founded the state’s Interagency Climate Team to manage complex programs and funding across departmental silos. Megan specializes in high-impact and cross-industry partnerships, innovative funding mechanisms, and transparent decision-making processes that promote community resilience.
