About Opportunity Finance Network (OFN)

Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is a Washington, D.C.-based organization that serves as the leading intermediary and network focused on community development finance in the United States. With over $1 billion in assets under management, OFN supports a membership of more than 400 community development financial institutions (CDFIs), including community development loan funds, credit unions, green banks, banks, minority depository institutions, and venture capital funds. These CDFIs work to ensure that communities underserved by mainstream finance have access to affordable, responsible financial products and services, with a particular focus on rural, urban, and Native communities across the U.S. OFN partners with various sectors including public, private, and philanthropic organizations such as foundations, corporations, banks, and government agencies. Over its nearly 40-year history, OFN has facilitated significant investments in underserved communities, driving economic opportunity and transformation. In 2023, OFN was awarded $2.29 billion from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to advance the clean energy transition in low-income and disadvantaged communities, marking a critical step in addressing the climate crisis and promoting environmental justice.
