We are seeking a Private Credit Financial Analyst – Americas. In this position you will support the impact investment credit team focused on Americas (North & South). Responsibilities include analyzing investment opportunities, supporting screening, due diligence, and closing processes, conducting research projects and supporting portfolio monitoring processes. This is a full-time position located in New York City.

Your tasks will include:

  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis of high impact enterprises in the Americas, including but not limited to financial modeling, credit risk assessment, impact assessment, industry research and operational analysis
  • Supporting various workstreams within a deal team, including structuring of investments, conducting on-site due diligence, and preparing investment recommendations
  • Contributing to the negotiation and drafting of legal transaction documentation, supporting coordination with internal and external counterparties
  • Working within a deal team to generate a pipeline of high-quality investment opportunities, including supporting other team members in screening early-stage opportunities and preparing screening notes
  • Supporting portfolio companies throughout the investment period alongside the deal team, including monitoring performance and being proactive in all matters arising in the ordinary course of investment management, acting quickly to identify and address issues
  • Supporting financial reporting, portfolio monitoring and periodic company/portfolio valuations
  • Performing thematic research into various business sectors and markets and macroeconomic trends
  • Assisting the deal team with impact reporting, ad-hoc projects, and administration
  • Supporting new product and business initiatives for the private credit platform when necessary

What we expect
We are looking for a professional with a willingness to excel within an entrepreneurial organization.

The successful candidate should have:

  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in a relevant field (preferably direct private credit, leveraged finance, private equity or investment banking) and relevant function (preferably an investment role).
  • Strong financial modelling, investment writing and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player with excellent analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated passion for impact investing, development finance and/or social enterprise work
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a challenging environment
  • Willingness to perform a wide range of tasks related to investment monitoring and operations
  • Prior experience working, volunteering or living in emerging markets desired
  • Undergraduate degree, preferably with a focus on Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and/or Economics, and excellent academic record
  • Openness to travel to Latin America for select on-site due diligence and business development activities, subject to travel restrictions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Business fluency in Spanish required
  • US work permit required
