About this Role

The Director of Marketing and Communications is an integral executive role responsible for spearheading the strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives that span across all entities within Partners for the Common Good, including the PCG Loan Fund, the Community Development Bankers Association, and CapNexus. This role requires collaboration with various departments to enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation among stakeholders, while strategically positioning Partners as an industry leader. The Director will oversee the rebranding efforts and play a crucial role in coordinating marketing campaigns, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and engaging in business planning to meet strategic goals. The role also includes leading social media strategies, digital marketing efforts, and the production of marketing and outreach materials.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan across Partner brands and activities.
  • Enhance visibility among key stakeholders through branding and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate the loan funds’ participation in conferences.
  • Manage communication strategies to position Partners as an industry leader.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to advance strategic goals.
  • Lead rebranding and repositioning efforts in the marketplace.
  • Identify and analyze market challenges and opportunities continuously.
  • Collaborate on business planning, goal setting, and strategy development.
  • Work with the Director of Innovation to refresh and relaunch key websites.
  • Lead the production of marketing materials for fundraising and initiatives.
  • Supervise the development of video storytelling products.
  • Lead graphic design for projects and materials.
  • Conduct other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in journalism, marketing, or communications.
  • Five to 10 years of successful experience in media or marketing communications.
  • Robust knowledge of social media, digital content management, and media relations.
  • Experience with video production and strong writing skills.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service to stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Experience as a team member and managing subordinates across various teams.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is required.
