Are you ready to be an integral part of an impact VC growth journey? We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Finance and Operations Specialist to join our team and contribute to the success of Ananda. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role offers a unique opportunity to support the Ananda Finance team and play a vital role in the finance and operations functions.

Key tasks:

You will be at the heart of our finance excellence, ensuring seamless financial processes and supporting the overall success of the firm. Your daily responsibilities include finance support tasks but will also cover some coordinating tasks in collaboration with the office manager. We are looking for someone with 1-4 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to handle sensitive information with excellent judgment, diplomacy, and discretion.

Your daily responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Supporting the Finance Team in its Fund Operations tasks, such as regular reporting, accounting activities, financial analysis and portfolio controlling
  • Contributing to quarterly reporting to key stakeholders and internally tracking fund development
  • Facilitating communication with external accountants and key stakeholders to provide crucial financial information
  • Preparing financial materials for audit committees, board meetings, and investor meetings
  • Respond to urgent inquiries while handling confidential information and documents with the utmost care
  • Support the maintenance of our office procedures, admin systems, and databases

Job requirements

What you bring and who you are:

We are looking for you if you bring more than just skills. We seek a passionate individual ready to thrive in a VC and start-up environment.

  • Strong background in accounting and finance support activities
  • Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Working experience of about 1-4 years, ideally in the professional service industry (i.e. auditing, tax advisory, accounting services) or in the Venture Capital or Private Equity environment
  • Fluent language skills in both German and English
  • Advanced proficiency with standard software applications, in particular excel
  • Academic education is not required but is a plus
