Become a Correspondent

Join Impact Entrepreneur’s global cohort of writers and reporters who publish regularly on the IE platform while sharpening their craft through the Impact Journalism Institute. Our correspondents are investigators and storytellers whose narratives build the field of the Impact Economy and advance human and planetary well-being — covering themes from entrepreneurial business, circular economy, climate finance, and inclusive fintech to place-based investing, systems innovation, and governance.

Why Become a Correspondent

Benefits

  • Editorial mentorship and developmental edits focused on impact-literate journalism.

  • Impact Journalism Institute training and resources.

  • Premium IE Membership and invitations to select community events.

  • Opportunities for on-platform visibility (bylines, newsletter features, Deep Dive invitations).

  • Media passes to attend and cover select conferences

  • Eligibility for commissioned/sponsored projects or fellowships when available.

Good fit if you

  • Report or write frequently and want a mission-aligned platform.

  • Bring domain access — data, operators, investors, policy — in one or more regions.

  • Are committed to evidence, nuance, and calling out impact-washing.

What we expect

  • Minimum of four original 800-1200 word articles per year — roughly one piece per quarter (or more)

  • Pitch discipline — pitches through the Correspondent Dashboard that align with IE’s editorial pillars and taxonomy.

  • Standards — source transparency; clear methods; IMM awareness where relevant.

  • Participation — join periodic editorial check-ins and Institute sessions.

Content parameters

  • Original work first published with IE; republishing per IE policy after 14 days.

  • We may retitle for clarity/SEO and request revisions to strengthen evidence or logic.
