Catalyst 2030, the global movement of people and organisations that are powering systems change, announced the winners of the Catalyst 2030 Awards for Systemic Change 2023 at Spencer House in London, UK today.

The global awards ceremony, hosted by renowned journalist Emily Kasriel and author, entrepreneur and Chief Growth Officer at Clearco, Ruma Bose, celebrated organisations that are driving co-creative collaborations to shift the ecosystem.

At the Catalyst 2030 Awards ceremony, Catalyst 2030 launched Global Social Innovation Day as a critical acknowledgement of the powerful social innovation sector and an amplification of the global collective action to support social innovators and their contributions within their own spheres of influence. The annual Global Social Innovation Day will celebrate the progress the sector has made towards achieving social progress and impact and inspire people about the world-changing power of social innovation and how the ecosystem advances policy changes.

Aligned to supporting the systems change innovators making the world more just and sustainable, Brazil hosted the G20 2024 Summit. The Brazilian Government is poised to effectively lead and continue the momentum of Global Social Innovation Day. Acknowledging this, the Government of Brazil has already launched its national strategy document called Unlocking the Impact Economy in partnership with the Catalyst 2030 Brazil Chapter as a firm commitment towards the growth of the social innovation sector.

In her welcome speech, Jeroo Billimoria, Co-Founder of Catalyst 2030 applauded the finalists saying, “Congratulations to all the finalists and awardees, who are all actively involved in accelerating the impact of work of social innovators around the world. This is a celebration of your vision, commitment, success and impact in the communities that you support.”

Trophies designed by members of the local handmade ecosystem community in India were presented to Catalyst 2030 Awards winners as follows:

Corporates Awards Category:

This category highlights best practices in private sector engagement with the social entrepreneurship sector. Besides the direct, measurable benefits, these have also led to ecosystem shifts towards inclusivity, equity and sustainability.

Donors Award Category:
1. Leader in Learning: Instituto Humanitas 360, PDR Fundo Filantrópico, Brazil
2. Leader in Trust: Tarsadia Foundation, USA
3. Leader in Partnership: Asfari Foundation, UK
4. Overall Best Donor: Segal Family Foundation, USA

This award celebrates individuals and organisations that have deployed capital to support projects or initiatives to achieve systems change.

Governments Award Category
1. Global Winner: Canadian Federal Government, Canada
2. Regional Winner: Basque Government, Spain

This award celebrates governments that support social entrepreneurship as a means to achieve the SDGs.

Bilateral and Multilateral Award Category
■ UN World Tourism Organisation, Global

This award celebrates teams or project units within bilateral and multilateral donors that have deployed capital to support projects or initiatives to achieve systems change.

Special Recognition Awards
1. Special recognition: UNTFSEE as a partner to Social Innovators
2. Special Recognition to key actors in shifting the ecosystem: Samantha Power, USAID
3. Special Recognition for Corporate Innovator: Warby Parker

This award recognises the achievements of organisations that have demonstrated commitment.
