Financing Specialist – Sustainable Property

We are currently looking for a financing specialist (permanent contract) for our Brussels office, specifically for the Sustainable Property team (sustainable real estate development).

How will you contribute to the team?

Within the team responsible for following up on professional clients in the real estate sector, the Financing Specialist fulfills a supporting and executive role for the Relationship Managers and maintains contact with the various stakeholders.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. Risk assessment and financial analysis / structuring:

• Conducting periodic credit reviews of existing files
• Performing financial analyses and identifying risks, opportunities, impact, and limitations, in line with internal credit criteria.
• Assist with the financial structuring and analysis of new and more complex credit files. The ultimate responsibility for the credit proposal and the associated negotiations lies with the Relationship Manager.
• Supporting the Relationship Manager in contact with clients regarding more complex cases and accompanying them during visits to clients and prospects.

2. Follow-up of credit documents :

• Following up on the drafting of the credit letter after receiving the customer’s agreement
• Compliance with the general, suspensive, and special conditions and contractual agreements.
• Monitoring drawdowns on credit facilities based on project progress and compliance with credit conditions
• Monitoring construction sites during the construction phase: site visits, follow-up of invoicing and works, etc.

The following is required for success in this position:

• Preferably a Master’s degree in a financial or similar field (Finance, Management, Economics, Law, …) or equivalent experience.
• Possess good knowledge and writing skills in Dutch, French, and English.
• Ideally possess relevant work experience of at least 2 years in credit activities or sustainable real estate development.
• Wish to contribute to the management and development of a portfolio of loans to sustainable companies and organizations.
• Demonstrate both financial-analytical and commercial skills.
• Possess good synthetic thinking skills to present your analyses concisely. 
• Having a critical attitude and being focused on the continuous improvement of our working methods.
• Able to take initiative and manage a multitude of tasks.

Who will you be working with?

You report directly to the Team Lead of the Middle Office and work with the other teams of the Business Banking department (Origination and Loan Administration). The Middle Office team consists of 9 people.

• An annual salary between €60,075 and €82,494  commensurate with our compensation policy and your experience.
