CataCap sponsors an ocean-based, blue finance campaign

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA July 10, 2026 — CataCap has launched a first-of-its-kind initiative that gives donor investors an opportunity to participate in philanthropic impact investments focused on a sustainable ocean.

71% of the Earth is ocean, 50% of our oxygen comes from the ocean, and over three billion people depend on it for food, yet less than 1% of the global flow of venture capital targets it. CataCap unites a group of four Founders and CEOs and their impact investing opportunities, a rich continuum of funds, companies and nonprofits doing critical work toward the $1-$4 trillion needed toward a sustainable ocean annually.

Inspired by Riding the Wave: Blue Finance for Restoring Ocean Health, CataCap is launching the Ocean Campaign to mobilize philanthropic catalytic capital to program-related and market-rate investment to “deliver regenerative, community-centered ocean outcomes.”
