Asawari Luthra is a social impact research consultant at the Sattva Knowledge Institute, where she is currently investigating the potential of digital public goods to deliver affordable finance to underserved populations. Previously, Asawari has primarily been steeped in academia – pursuing and teaching Cultural Anthropology. Her prior research has focussed on the effects of rapid urbanisation on caste, labour and gender relations in a village in India and on the nature of subjectivity invigorated by innovation and production practices that employ digital techniques and networks. Asawari received her education from the University of Chicago and Ashoka University, Delhi.
