Autumn Gorman, an Impact Entrepreneur correspondent, is an entrepreneurial strategist and collaborative, adaptive leader with more than two decades of experience turning complex ideas into workable solutions across public, private, and social sectors. For twelve years at USAID, she helped design and manage initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, market systems, and private sector engagement, mobilizing more than $2 billion in private finance for sustainable and inclusive growth.

Before joining USAID, Autumn held operations, finance, and leadership roles in the private sector and founded two companies. Her passion for entrepreneurship and the ecosystems that sustain it led her to USAID after spending a year in Jordan supporting small and growing businesses. Throughout her career, she has also been a tutor, mentor, and teacher, creating and instructing USAID’s Mobilizing Finance for Development course, facilitating workshops for the Big Table Institute, and serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver. She is recognized for seeing patterns across disciplines and building bridges between innovators, institutions, and investors to make progress possible.

Autumn is now applying this experience across sectors to explore the next evolution of finance and collaboration for impact, both domestically and internationally, with a focus on how cooperation can be strengthened through smarter tools and approaches.
She holds an International MBA in Emerging Market Trade and Finance and an MA in International and Intercultural Communication from the University of Denver. Growing up in Colorado, she finds inspiration in nature and spends her free time outdoors and in her garden.
