Dr. Neema Robert is a lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam - Business School, conducting teaching, research and consultancy in the fields of Economics and Finance. She is a seasoned economist specializing in the areas of Industrial and Trade Competitiveness, Development Finance, Private Sector Development, Impact Investment, and Human Capital. The contextual specification of the expertise encompasses local assignment and regional economies, particularly, East African and SADC Countries.
This counts from her engagements with several international organizations, including IFC/WB, GIZ, UNIDO, ILO, SADC and EAC. Locally she has worked with the government for instance Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and Small Industries Development Organization (SIDO). For the private sector she has worked with Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI), Manufacturers Council of Zanzibar (MCZ), and Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce (ZNCC). Dr. Robert has been awarded by the Institute of Certified Chartered Economists (ICCE) as the Most Influential Young Economist for Sub Saharan, year 2022. She is also a leader of Tanzania Impact Investment Taskforce, where she work closely with Global Steering Group to harness Impact movement in Africa, contribute in market development and sustainability of the impact ecosystem, conduct research and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, contribute in policy, and enhance awareness of the agenda through forums and discussions.
