Katie Lyon is the Head of Client Services for Common Trust, a firm that helps small and mid-sized businesses transition to employee ownership. Katie has over 15 years of experience in economic and community development. Prior to joining Common Trust, she originated a team tasked with building industry partnerships to support curriculum development and hiring outcomes for students at all 25 campuses in the City University of New York system. Previously in her career, Katie served as an economic development and real estate consultant with BJH Advisors and the Deputy Director of Real Estate and Planning at the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership. Katie earned a Master’s in Urban Planning from the Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service at New York University and a Bachelor's in Marketing from University of Maryland at College Park. She is an alumna of the Coro Leadership New York program and a member of the Board of Trustees for CASES.
