Silvia Poggioli is Head of Development for Regional Programmes at Blue Ventures, where she leads fundraising and grant management across the organisation’s global work with coastal communities, in partnership with colleagues across the development function. She works closely with regional teams and donors, leading a team of senior development managers to secure and steward funding across multiple geographies.

With a background spanning field leadership and fundraising, Silvia has led the resourcing, design, delivery and growth of complex programmes and partnerships. She has secured six- and seven-figure funding from institutional donors and foundations, and has worked extensively with a wide range of stakeholders, including civil society, governments, academia and the private sector. She has lived and worked across four continents.

Her work is driven by a strong commitment to equity, social justice and environmental sustainability. She focuses on supporting marginalised communities and advancing approaches rooted in solidarity, collective action and local leadership, and is a firm advocate for fairer access to resources and decision-making power.

Silvia holds a Master’s degree in Development Planning from UCL.
