Shannon Mudd joined the Department of Economics at Haverford College 2010 and founded Haverford Mi3, the Microfinance and Impact Investing Initiative. His research focuses on the financial behaviors of individuals, firms and financial institutions. He has served in the leadership of the Philadelphia chapter of Investors Circle (IC) and is currently engaged in IC’s Student Initiative. Professor Mudd received his B.A. from Emory University and his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He served on a USAID project in Russia during the mid 1990’s and has taught classes at the undergraduate/masters levels at U Chicago, Emory, Georgia State, Thunderbird (ASU), King’s College (London), and Ursinus.
