Work.Life is a flex workspace provider for businesses who care about people. We believe happy teams deliver measurable benefits for businesses, which is why everything we do, from workspace design to a best-in-class personal service, is built to create happy working environments. We have workspaces across London, Reading and Manchester, thousands of members, and a team who share our ambition to redefine the workspace experience for the better.

Make work-lives happier

Work.Life is a certified B-corp leading flex workspace operator, built almost entirely on direct inbound enquiries -protecting and growing that is important to us. Search itself is being rewritten. How people find a workspace is shifting from typing into Google to asking an AI assistant directly, and the operators who win the next couple of years will be the ones who figure out AEO. We want to be first, not fast-following.

We’re looking for a sharp, AI-literate Digital Marketing Manager who gets a genuine buzz from watching the numbers move: CAC dropping while lead volume holds, or LLM citations and AI referral traffic climbing month on month. If you get a kick from before-and-after metrics, this role could be for you.

The opportunity

This isn’t a role where you wait to be told what to do next. Our Marketing Director sets the strategy, budget and commercial direction. You own bringing it to life, proving what’s working and what doesn’t, optimising what is and constantly learning to ensure we’re ahead of the curve.

You’ll own the machinery behind our growth: our website, CRM, email, PPC, and SEO/AEO execution, using AI tools to do the work that has historically needed a full-time agency, and to squeeze more performance out of every pound we spend. You’ll be obsessive about the metrics: cost per lead, cost to acquire, conversion by product, location and increasingly, whether Work.Life gets cited when someone asks an LLM where to find flexible workspace. Getting AEO right before most competitors have even started is a real opportunity to win market share.

You’ll move quickly, but nothing goes out with a typo, a broken layout or an off-brand visual. You’ll have a genuinely good eye, for copy and for design, and the instinct to catch your own mistakes before anyone else does. Along the way, you’ll keep finding smarter, faster ways to work, testing new AI tools and bringing recommendations forward rather than waiting to be asked.

What you’ll be doing

  1. Running the website

You’ll use AI tools to design and build new page elements yourself wherever possible, briefing in designers or developers for work that genuinely needs their skillset, and build new location and product pages as we expand. You’ll use analytics tools to spot friction in user journeys, and test improvements to forms, layouts and conversion paths.

Any pricing, copy or image update you make will read on brand and look right the first time. Executing PPC, SEO & AEO

  1. You’ll run paid search and paid social campaigns in-house using AI-assisted tools.

You’ll execute SEO and AEO initiatives, including content structuring and technical changes that improve how we’re found in traditional search and in AI answer engines. Where we still use agencies, you’ll manage that relationship operationally: calls, briefings, reporting, and pulling the data that supports their work, while steadily reducing our dependency on them.

  1. Owning email marketing

You’ll build, test and optimise email campaigns and all automated touchpoints across the funnel, writing clean, on-brand copy every time.

  1. Managing our CRM (HubSpot)

You’ll own day-to-day CRM configuration and administration to ensure every enquiry is routed correctly, the data required is captured and accurate, and build reporting that tracks contacts from first touch through to sign-up. You’ll stay on top of product releases and ensure we’re using the system to the fullest.

  1. Reporting, with evidence

You’ll provide regular, evidence-backed reporting on campaign and channel performance to support weekly and monthly reviews.

About you

You’ll probably recognise yourself in most of these:

• You have strong hands-on experience with a website CMS, GA4, and Google Search Console

• You’ve run PPC campaigns using Adwords, Meta and LinkedIn Ads Manager and know your way around SEO and AEO fundamentals

• You’re genuinely curious about how AEO and AI-driven search are changing how customers find businesses.

• You have a good eye for copy and visual detail – you spot your own mistakes before anyone else does.

• You move at pace without cutting corners, and enjoy a scale-up environment.

• You’re fluent with AI tools and use them as a core part of how you work, and you’re curiosity means you’re always ahead of curve and willing to try new things.

• You want a hands-on individual contributor role, not a path to managing a team – this role is about owning execution, not building a department
