Philip Bateman is an independent advisor working at the intersection of enterprise, capital and family.

He works with founders, families and boards once businesses reach a level of scale where ownership, capital and long-term risk begin to matter as much as day-to-day performance. His role is to sit alongside leaders as a sounding board and advocate, helping them clarify direction, navigate complexity and make decisions that remain robust over decades.

Since 2009, Philip has run his own advisory practice, working across growth strategy, capital raising, investor engagement and governance. His experience spans collaboration with CEOs and leadership teams responsible for nationally significant assets, including infrastructure, impact investment platforms, industrial production and environmental assets.

Increasingly, Philip’s work extends into family dynamics, intergenerational transition and stewardship, where business, capital and personal relationships converge. He is currently completing his accreditation as a Family Business Advisor.

Philip keeps his practice intentionally small and works with a limited number of clients where trust, discretion and independent judgement are valued.
