What a Minute Costs
Counting what we fail to prevent, sixty seconds at a time
News shared with Impact Entrepreneur by Ravina Mehta of Ventra
Ventra, the Dubai-based AI platform for impact entrepreneurs, is putting $1 million behind early-stage founders through Ventra Capital, an initiative it announced in August. The company says a private family office backs the initiative, and applications remain open.
Ventra Capital invests in three areas:
It backs pre-seed and seed startups that already have a tech-enabled product or pilot in market, along with early users and pilot data. Ventra looks for founders worldwide but gives priority to MENA, Africa and South Asia, and founders who use Ventra’s AI get special consideration. Beyond an initial check, Ventra Capital offers hands-on consulting support and access to the company’s AI-powered intelligence.
“In large parts of the world, agriculture and waste are the systems livelihoods are built on — and financial access decides whether that work scales. Whilst commercial capital is starting to move into that gap, it’s often without the sector fluency to move quickly or add real value beyond the check. That’s the space Ventra Capital is built for,” said Ravina Mehta, founder of Ventra.
Ventra describes Ventra Capital as its first initiative beyond its core AI platform, which Impact Entrepreneur covered when it launched in May. Founders can apply through the Ventra Capital website. The company reviews applications on a rolling basis and aims to respond within two to three weeks.
